Following the black clutch post of last Monday, here is one about a white clutch. Made with knit from a sweater that was no longer wearable. But clothing too old does not mean fabric no longer good. It only means that something pretty can be made out of it. And it becomes something new.
I found on my shelves a piece of white cord and a zipper. You can see that it is not a brand new zipper. But that is fine. The colors match the beads… 😉
It was too plain to my taste. And a little too white. I decided to embroider roses with the bullion stitch and sew marguerites with beads. Now, the bag has character.
For the inside, I used scraps from the same knit fabric and two pieces from one of my sons’ old pants. I sew pieces of ribbon to mask the sewing line.
I have written a tutorial for this bag that measures 5″ x 9″ (in French and in English, as usual). For you to enjoy.
Do you like sewing clutches as I do?
