I was inspired by a tutorial offered by sew4home. I write inspired because the clutch I made does not really look like theirs. Still, I started with their idea. You can find the tutorial here.

As I made it as a gift for my father, I chose a robust material—jeans. I also added a zipper to ensure the content will remain inside when he goes biking or fishing. I would not want him to loose his keys in a river…

Everything come from old clothes, including the metal pieces that were attached to the navy twill tape (they were sewn on a child overalls) .

  1. A very manly, and durable pouch! Good spot of recycling too!
I’d love to make one for my DH but I’m not sure I could convince him to use it!

Thank you for the great link …… I’ll be making one for myself, and maybe some for friends too!
