Little Pouches

I was first inspired by makeup pouches I saw on Pinterest and that were made by Anabelia Craft Design. Following her links brought me to the pattern page and I simply grabbed yarn I already had and started on this fun project.

Following Anabelia’s example, I have sewn a lining. I was lucky to have perfectly coordinated t-shirts in my pile of old clothes. I simply cut two rectangles after tracing the outside of the bags with a pen. I sew the sides and the bottom of two rectangles, right sides facing. Then I folded the top edge and sew it by hand on the crocheted bag.

I have also added a little wrislet that I have made with a crochet hook. With this addition, the pouches can become clutches. I first made a chain and afterward added a row of scallops. It could not be easier.

Now, do I keep them or do I give them away? Hmmm…. Though decision.

    • Merci, Lara! In fact, I followed a pattern. It was well written and, therefore, making those pouches was relaxing. I also like the flap, because it looks a little like lace.
