Green Flower Bag

An other one of my small handbags. This bag is made of polyesters that have a denim look. They are leftovers from skirts I made. One in navy blue, one in grey.

To liven it up, I machine stitched a greed flower with the blanket stitch on the front of the bag.

I made a small tag with a C with the same thread as the flower and the blanket stitch. I sew three black beads and attached the tag to the back handle of the bag with matching embroidery floss.

I included a small pocket in the inside.

This small handbag looks more classy than the previous ones I have made. For the days we are feeling more serious.

    • Thank you! I used two quilting templates to make the flower: one for the petals and one for the leaves. It was just a matter of tracing and stitching over the line. I’m glad you like it!

    • Thank you! I made the flower with the thread only as I didn’t want to add an appliqué, which I felt would have taken too much visual space. It was the first time I did it and I really liked how it turned out.
