Downtown Houses – Block 8 with a pattern

Downtown Houses - block 8 in my Craftsy Pattern Store - francenadeau.comDowntown Houses - block 8 with a pattern -

This house is high in colors. The door, particularly exuberant, attract the eyes. Strangely, the door frame and the window frames are of different colors. But, as the various colors of the house are reflected in the garden, the whole creates a view the passerby enjoy to see.  The flower pot in the kitchen window announces that this is a happy house.

The pattern is available in French and in English in my Craftsy Pattern Store. This pattern has 7 pages and includes instructions about cutting the appliques, a guide for positioning the appliques, patterns in actual size and pictures showing the embroidery stitches.

  1. Ok, so I have absolutely fallen in love with your little houses! I wonder, how many are there? I’m thinking of purchasing all the patterns you have to date because they are all so adorable. How big is each block? How many do you plan to make? Your blocks make me smile. Thank you!

    • You just made my day by saying you’ve fallen in love with my houses! There are 8 houses in total and I just pieced them together (I will post about this quilt top tomorrow). Each block is 9 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ (unfinished). I’ve finished making Downtown Houses. But I will surely make other kinds of houses in the future. I wish you a great day!

    • Thank you! I could not resist adding flowers and shrubs around the houses and embroidery seemed the easiest choice to make them. I’m happy to read that you like how they look. 🙂
